We are testing a new program that will notify taxpayers when their tax bill is available to be paid online.
E-mail notifications have been sent for the last year.  The most recent mailing is for 2009 property tax bills.  This program will be continually enhanced to make receiving and paying a tax bill even more convenient.
Florida law currently requires the Tax Collector to send a paper property tax bill by first class mail, but that law is under review and may eventually allow taxpayers to choose whether they want their bill sent by mail or e-mail.  E-mail would be more convenient and will help reduce the high costs of printing and mailing paper bills.
Utilizing today's technology is one of the many ways the Tax Collector is working to provide the services our customers need while keeping costs as low as possible.
