The Florida registration number (commonly called "FL number") issued
to a vessel is permanent and remains with the vessel as long as it is
operated or stored in Florida, even though the ownership may change.
The FL number is shown on your vessel registration in the box
labeled "Plate Number or Florida #.
This number must be
placed on both sides of the front of the vessel, must be block letters
at least 3 inches in height and spaced as indicated below.
The expiration decal
must be placed on the port (left) side of the vessel immediately before
or after the FL number.
