All new vessels will have a MCO (Manufacturer’s Certificate of Origin) or MSO (Manufacturer’s Statement of Origin) which must be signed by the vessel dealer for transfer to the purchaser.
In-State Dealer
If you purchase a vessel from a dealer in Florida, the dealer may process the title and registration for the purchaser and there is nothing more you need to do. If the dealer does not offer this service, you may download the Vessel Title Packet which contains the forms and information needed to title and register your vessel.
Out-of-State Dealer
If you have purchased a vessel from a dealer outside of Florida, the dealer may handle the title transfer for you. You should check with the dealer to determine if they will complete this transaction for you. If not, you may download the Vessel Title Packet which contains the forms and information needed to title and register your vessel.
