A sojourner or temporary registration is issued to a non-resident vessel owner using their vessel in Florida waters for 90 days. The application includes:
- Application to Register Non-Titled Vessels
- Copy of the current out-of-state registration
- Payment of registration fees
A $50.00 non-resident commercial vessel fee is charged if the vessel is being used for commercial purposes. If the vessel is used exclusively for commercial shrimping and is registered in Mississippi, North Carolina or Texas, the fee is not applicable.
